COLOMBIA

Coffee was first brought to Colombia in the early 1700s by Jesuit priests who arrived with the Spanish colonists.

Colombia remains the world's second largest producer of coffee and is certainly one of the most well-known growing regions in the world ... who has never heard of Colombian coffee?

Mainly grown in small family-owned farms, scattered throughout the country, and at high altitudes.

The classic Colombian profile combines a soft acidity, a strong caramelized sweetness, with a medium body; an aroma that remains among the most recognizable by most North Americans.
